Job Description

The Statistician will have oversight of all interim and final quantitative analyses of large amounts of data generated by a newly awarded project, which implements a pilot sentinel surveillance system to monitor acute and chronic HCV infection in people living with HIV in South Texas and to enable HCV data to care capacity.

• Provides oversight and interprets all interim and final quantitative analyses for the large amounts of data that will be generated in the project.
• Gathers, analyzes and interprets a wide variety of data for multiple job sites across South Texas.
• Works with multiple departments to gather and analyze data for the new monitoring system.
• Collaborates with the Principal Investigator to prepare reports, charts, tables and other visual aids for the project’s completion and ensures project data is available for the completion of the project.
• Works independently and makes decisions within the scope of responsibilities as the monitoring system is implemented.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a recognized field of science or learning directly related to the duties of the position, with five years of professional experience.
