Job Title: Statistical Project Leader, Deputy Director, Global Biostatistics Sciences

Location: Waltham, MA

Your skills could be critical in helping our teams accelerate progress. The Statistical Project Leader serves as the lead on small to mid-size project(s) or new project indications. The Statistical Project Leader represents the Biostatistics group, and will participate at extended clinical team meetings and may attend external meetings with regulatory agencies and key opinion leaders.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Acts as the lead statistician at project level for projects of small/medium size or new project indication, and provides support and leadership to project needs on all relevant statistical matters.
  2. Collaborates with statistical programmers and the programming project leader for the preparation and production of statistical reports & appendices at the trial and project level.
  3. Manages and follows-up the activities that are outsourced to external partners (CROs).
  4. Links with other internal stakeholders (such as Regulatory Managers or Product Safety Officers in Pharmacovigilance for DSUR, SMTs).
  5. May represent Sanofi BIOS group externally in interactions and meetings with Regulatory Authorities, expert panels, statistical experts, independent data monitoring committees, etc.
  6. May act as the lead statistician at clinical trial level and provide support and leadership to the clinical trial team on all relevant statistical matters.
  7. Acts as a mentor within BIOS platform for junior statisticians.
  8. Acts as BIOS representative in internal initiatives within GCD.
  9. Participates in research groups, presentations and publications of statistical topics.
About You
  1. Earned PhD in statistics or related discipline with 2+ years of applicable pharmaceutical or biotech experience, OR earned Master's degree with 5+ years of experience.
  2. Broad knowledge and good understanding of advanced statistical concepts and techniques with hands-on experience doing statistical simulations.
  3. Experience using R is strongly preferred.
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on multiple projects with multiple stakeholders.

The salary range for this position is: $122,250.00 - $176,583.33

All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
