This includes steam engines, air compressors, and auxiliary systems that provide steam, electric power, and other essential services to the facility.**Key Responsibilities*** Operate and maintain boilers, steam engines, air compressors, and related power plant equipment.* Monitor systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.* Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and engines.* Maintain accurate logs and records of equipment performance and maintenance activities.* Respond to emergency situations and perform corrective actions as needed.* Perform other related duties as assigned.**Qualifications*** High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training in boiler operation or HVAC preferred.* Valid NYC Stationary Engineer License required.* Minimum 3 years of experience in boiler operation and maintenance in a healthcare or industrial setting.* Completion of a trade apprenticeship program and have five years of experience as a Stationary Engineer.* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.* Must also possess the following certificates: S-12 Citywide Sprinkler Systems, S-13 Citywide Standpipe System, G-71 Supervision of Piped Non-Flammable Medical Gases, G-60 Torch Use of Flammable Gases, F-60 Fire Guard for Torch Operations & Const.
