Job summary

Trinity Health Nazareth Hospital is seeking a part-time Stationary Engineer to join our facilities team, with rotating shifts and per diem as needed at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia. The role focuses on monitoring hospital facilities, performing boiler and AHU maintenance, and ensuring safe, reliable operation of equipment.

Key qualifications include a City of Philadelphia Class A Stationary Engineer License and the ability to read blueprints, with proficiency across multiple trades.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or vocational training.
• City of Philadelphia Class "A" Stationary Engineer License.
• Proficiency in several trades.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Proficiency in building maintenance techniques.
• Proficiency in elevator operations and emergency power generators.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in monitoring and supervising hospital facilities, equipment and staff.
• Perform maintenance on boilers, hot water heating systems, and air handling units, including inspection, greasing, oiling, adjusting and cleaning.
• Dismantle machinery to access/replace defective parts and perform repairs.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the director.

As a Stationary Engineer you will:

• They assist the Director in the monitoring and supervision of the hospital facilities, equipment and staff.
• Performs maintenance involving inspection, greasing, oiling, adjusting and cleaning on the following: pressure boilers, hot water heating systems, air handling units.
• Dismantles machinery and equipment to gain access to and the removal of defective parts and repairs and replaces worn or broken parts.
• Other duties as assigned by director

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School graduate and/or vocational training
• City of Philadelphia Class "A" Stationary Engineer License
• Must demonstrate proficiency in several trades
• Must be able to interpret blueprints and work from drawings .Must demonstrate proficiency in building maintenance techniques
• Must demonstrate proficiency in the operations of elevators and emergency power generators.
