Nazareth Hospital in the Northeast Philadelphia region seeks a Stationary Engineer to support facility operations, maintenance, and staff supervision. The role demands attention to boilers, heating systems, air handling units, and critical utility equipment.

• Proficiency in several trades.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Proficiency in building maintenance techniques.
• Proficiency in operating elevators and emergency power generators.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in monitoring and supervising the hospital facilities, equipment and staff.
• Perform maintenance including inspection, greasing, oiling, adjusting and cleaning of boilers and air handling units.
• Dismantle machinery to access and replace defective parts.
• Other duties as assigned by the director.

Location: Nazareth Hospital

As a Stationary Engineer you will:

• They assist the Director in the monitoring and supervision of the hospital facilities, equipment and staff.
• Performs maintenance involving inspection, greasing, oiling, adjusting and cleaning on the following: pressure boilers, hot water heating systems, air handling units.
• Dismantles machinery and equipment to gain access to and the removal of defective parts and repairs and replaces worn or broken parts.
• Other duties as assigned by director

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School graduate and/or vocational training
• City of Philadelphia Class "A" Stationary Engineer License
• Must demonstrate proficiency in several trades
• Must be able to interpret blueprints and work from drawings
• .Must demonstrate proficiency in building maintenance techniques
• Must demonstrate proficiency in the operations of elevators and emergency power generators.
