Job summary

El Camino Health in California is hiring for a Building Maintenance Engineer to operate building systems and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diverse equipment and furnishings. The role is full-time with a standard 80 bi-weekly hours schedule across shifts.

The position requires completing a four-year apprenticeship in stationary engineering, HVAC or trades, or alternatively six years of equivalent experience in a complex facility. On-call duty is expected.

Job Description

Responsible for operating building systems and equipment and for performing periodic maintenance and repairs on a variety of building systems, equipment and furnishings.

Qualifications

Successful completion of a four-year apprenticeship in one of the following trades: stationary engineering, air conditioning and refrigeration, electrician, pipe fitting or plumbing.

Or a minimum of six years equivalent experience performing the duties of a building maintenance or systems engineer in a complex facility or environment and satisfactory completion of a trade course with a one-year duration.

On-call (or stand by) duty is a requirement for this facility and is rotated among the engineers.

Salary Range

Salary Range: $72.93 - $72.93 USD Hour
