Job summary

El Camino Health is seeking a Part-time Emergency Department support role for the night shift. The incumbent will provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in the ED and will rotate to oversee waiting area patients and families.

Required qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent, and licensure as a National Registered Paramedic or EMT or progression in an accredited RN program with BLS certification.

Job Description As part of the unit based team, this position is responsible for providing direct and indirect care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department

Key Responsibilities

In addition to providing clinical care for patients, this position also rotates to oversee the patients and families in ED waiting area; providing assistance to patients’ upon arrival, assisting the triage RN in identifying medical necessity, supporting and providing information to patients, families and staff.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements

• National Registered Paramedic - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians OR proof of current completion of 2 semesters in an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
• Basic Lifesaving Certification - American Heart Association.

Salary Range

Salary Range: $38.49 - $48.66 USD Hour

Medium Work - Requires standing the majority of the shift with the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. frequently. Work involves sitting, kneeling, climbing and squatting. - (Physical Requirements-United States of America)
