Job summary

State of California invites applications for a Stationary Engineer in the Facilities Management Division. The role ensures operation, maintenance and repair of essential mechanical systems in Marysville and surrounding state facilities, with occasional travel as needed.

Under the general direction of engineering leadership, you will work in a 12-month term, typical 8am–5pm schedule, and participate in a team focused on safety, reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• STATIONARY ENGINEER is the required designation for this role.
• Experience operating and maintaining heating, ventilation and mechanical systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair heating, air conditioning, ventilating, lighting, water, and other mechanical systems in state facilities.
• Assist with travel to state-owned or occupied buildings as required.
• Follow FMD guidelines and safety practices.
