Job summary

Northwest Hospital, part of LifeBridge Health, seeks a licensed First Grade Stationary Engineer for daytime engineering operations. This is a forward-facing role critical to hospital utilities and patient care.

You'll inspect boilers, chillers, pumps, and air handlers, monitor readings, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with clinical teams to ensure safe, reliable operations in a busy acute care setting.

Qualifications

  • Maryland First Grade Stationary Engineer's License is required.
  • 5+ years in central plant or hospital utilities environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Professional presence with patients, staff and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily inspections of boilers, chillers, pumps, air handlers, and related utility systems.
  • Monitor, log, and trend equipment readings to prevent failures.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues quickly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with maintenance techs, leadership, and clinical teams to resolve issues.
  • Maintain documentation to support regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

$5K SIGN ON BONUS!! FULL TIME DAY SHIFT POSITION!!!

Northwest Hospital is seeking a licensed First Grade Stationary Engineer to join our daytime engineering operations team. This is not a back-of-house, isolated boiler room role. This position is forward-facing, highly collaborative, and essential to hospital operations.

You'll play a critical role in keeping our utilities infrastructure safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance in a busy acute care hospital environment.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct daily inspections of boilers, chillers, pumps, air handlers, and associated utility systems
  • Monitor, log, and trend equipment readings to proactively prevent failures
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment
  • Troubleshoot and respond to operational issues quickly and effectively
  • Collaborate with maintenance technicians, leadership, and clinical teams to resolve issues
  • Maintain accurate documentation to support regulatory compliance and operational excellence

What We're Looking For
  • Maryland First Grade Stationary Engineer's License (required)

Range $34 to $49 dependent on experience and internal equity
