Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires 3-5 years in facility maintenance or building operations.
• Experience with Boilers is a must: HVAC, Chillers, and electrical systems.
• Valid driver’s license and a Stationary Engineer License.
• Experience with building management systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills.
• Safety conscious with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operates the central heating plant boilers, heat recovery steam generator, natural gas combustion turbine generator set, natural gas compressor and auxiliary equipment for optimum performance and efficiency.
• Operates manual and automatic combustion control equipment for gas and coal firing; includes all plant related equipment, i.e., turbines, fans, compressors and pumps.
• Monitors and makes control adjustments to bag house at Dry Panel.
• Performs minor preventative maintenance and repairs to equipment.
• Tests and treats boiler feed water.
• Reads meters and gauges and adjusts controls of other plant equipment for optimum performance.
• Records data for all related equipment and performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
