Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a skilled healthcare facilities engineer to maintain and repair hospital equipment across multiple systems. The role emphasizes safety, logs, and preventive maintenance.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant, and medical gas systems; a trade certification and a valid driver’s license are required. High school diploma or equivalent is expected, with 5 years of acute healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in an acute healthcare setting.
• Ability to troubleshoot and read schematics/blueprints.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Certified/licensed in a healthcare engineering trade (steam boiler, HVAC).
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Maintains accurate logs on all equipment in hospital and provides for a safe working environment. Maintains and repairs equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems. Maintains the building and its related systems. Certified and/or licensed in a specific trade that is directly related to healthcare engineering

Qualifications

• Five (5) years experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred


• Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blue prints.


• Valid state driver’s license.


• Certified and/or licensed in a specified trade that is relative to healthcare engineering (Steam boiler, HVAC, etc)


• High School Diploma or equivalent required
