Job summary

Chevron Stations Inc. (CSI) is seeking a customer-focused employee to support the Station Manager in daily retail operations, oversee staff on shift, handle cash transactions, and ensure safety and quality standards are met in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in English to understand policies and communicate with customers and coworkers.
• Experience in fast-paced retail, food service or fuel environments with cash handling.
• Ability to operate a cash register, computer console, and related equipment and software.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety requirements for food storage and service.
• Available to work varied hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to multitask and work both independently and in a team.
• Must be at least 18 years old in California locations; 21 for certain shifts and management roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist Station Manager in the day-to-day operations of the retail facility.
• Maintain oversight of station operations and staff in the Station Manager’s absence.
• Provide direction, motivation and coaching to staff during shifts to ensure tasks are completed.
• Adhere to safety, security, quality guidelines and CSI policies; respond to incidents professionally.
• Ensure compliance with wage, hour, and cash handling policies; manage transactions efficiently.
• Make use of all transactional equipment to process customer transactions and train CSRs as needed.
• Perform CSR duties and other tasks as assigned by Station Manager or Business Consultant.
