Job summary

AEP Service Corporation is seeking Station Electricians in the Columbus area to perform work on energized equipment and assist with higher voltage systems under supervision.

Qualifications include an associate degree or equivalent experience in electrical/mechanical/industrial maintenance and a valid Class A CDL. There is a strong emphasis on safety, travel, and readiness to work overtime or shift schedules as required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education/experience in electrical/mechanical/industrial maintenance.
• Ability to read drawings/instruction manuals and one-line diagrams.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights; willingness to travel and relocate as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform work on energized equipment up to 260 volts; assist with higher voltages under supervision.
• Disassemble, inspect, maintain, and repair station transformers, circuit breakers, portable substations, rotating machinery.
• Install conduit, cable, and wiring; perform surveys, tests, and measurements; maintain records and reports.
