The Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation is seeking a Stewardship Program Manager to coordinate Forest Stewardship and Rural Forestry Assistance across the state. This role provides statewide guidance, technical expertise, and support to field staff delivering private landowner services.

You will develop standards, secure funding, ensure federal compliance, and oversee grants up to $3–7 million annually, working with Unit Managers, Service Foresters, and partners to advance

• Understanding of federal grant compliance related to land management.
• Ability to communicate clearly and engage diverse stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Develop program guidance and tools translating state/federal requirements for field staff.
• Advance statewide forest stewardship priorities with partners and funding.
• Build partnerships with agencies, tribes, universities, and landowner groups.
• Manage $3–7 million annually in state and federal grants and oversee subawards.
• Oversee program accountability including reporting, geospatial data, and compliance.
• Lead staff, manage contracts/deliverables, and evaluate performance.
• Represent and promote the program at meetings and partnerships.
