Job summary

Department of Public Health in Georgia seeks a Sr. Manager, Perinatal Programs to provide statewide leadership and operational support for perinatal health initiatives within the Division of Women, Children, and Nursing Services.

The role ensures alignment with objectives, funding requirements, and program guidelines, while guiding grants, reporting, contracts, and fiscal oversight across the state.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Public Health or related field.
  • Experience with contracts, grants and related reporting.
  • High school diploma/GED and ten years of professional level experience or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and provide ongoing support for perinatal and women's health initiatives to improve maternal and infant outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and monitoring for quality improvement initiatives within the Georgia Perinatal Quality Collaborative (GaPQC).
  • Provide leadership and support for the Regional Perinatal System ensuring alignment with statewide priorities and integration of services to reach rural areas of the state.
  • Collaborate with the RPC Medical Directors and Outreach Educators on program implementation, clinical quality improvement, and education activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, Regional Perinatal Centers, and community organizations to coordinate perinatal health activities.
  • Develop and revise policies, procedures, guidelines, and strategic plans for women's health perinatal initiatives.
  • Set project goals, monitor progress, and contribute to maternal and infant health initiatives including grant applications and reports.
  • Assist in new contracts and initiatives, required reporting, and on-site visits to hospitals and partners.
  • Support the Perinatal Clinical team in training and technical support for hospital teams to optimize perinatal care.
  • Assist with grant applications, reporting, and fiscal oversight to ensure compliance.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret perinatal program data to monitor outcomes and guide quality improvement including remote maternal care services.
  • Represent the Office of Women's Health in statewide committees to promote perinatal priorities.
  • Support priorities within the Division of Women, Children, and Nursing Services.

Education
