Job summary

The New York State Center for Recruitment & Public Service is seeking a Safety and Health Program Manager to oversee statewide safety, fire safety, and emergency services programs for NYS personnel. The role involves developing guidelines, evaluating programs, and ensuring compliance with NFPA and NYS Codes.

The incumbent will serve as SME on safety issues, review reports, investigate fires and emergencies, conduct training, and coordinate with NYS agencies to maintain safety standards across

Qualifications

Knowledge of NY Rules and Regulations for Code Enforcement.
Knowledge of OSHA and PESH requirements.
Ability to read, interpret contracts and building plans.
Strong communication and training capabilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and databases.

Responsibilities

Plans, organizes, and evaluates statewide safety programs.
Provides OSHA 10 and 30 training to agency employees.
Inspects facilities annually for fire safety compliance.
Investigates fires and emergencies and prepares after-action reports.
Maintains master roster of Facility Safety Officers and coordinates with agencies.
