Job summary

The University of Alabama is hiring a REACH Across Alabama Program Manager to oversee planning and development for a statewide AmeriCorps-funded initiative supporting students with lived experience in foster care, homelessness, and other barriers to higher education.

The role conducts statewide student assessments, builds individualized success plans, and provides case management to an assigned caseload of Alabama REACH scholars to support retention and graduation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus four years of student retention/engagement experience or Master's degree plus two years.
• Driver's license required; must be at least 19 at hire with some driving restrictions under 21.
• Preferred: Master's plus three years leading grant-funded or strategic planning initiatives.
• Preferred: experience preparing competitive AmeriCorps grant applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and development of REACH Across Alabama, a statewide AmeriCorps initiative.
• Conduct statewide student assessments and develop individualized success plans for participants.
• Provide comprehensive case management to an assigned caseload of Alabama REACH scholars.
• Monitor academic progress and coach to support retention, persistence, and graduation.
• Collaborate with campus and community partners across Alabama to build a sustainable program framework.
