Job summary

The North Carolina SBI seeks a Program Coordinator II (Fleet Manager) to oversee the statewide fleet, vehicle inventory, and procurement for the agency. The role includes coordinating installation of equipment and maintaining vehicle records from the SBI’s main campus in Raleigh, NC.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education and Experience as described: Bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of NC procurement laws and public purchasing practices.
  • Demonstrated experience with vehicle fleet management, procurement, inventory, and disposition/surplus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the agency's statewide fleet program, including passenger vehicles, SUVs, specialized vehicles, trailers, and support equipment.
  • Maintain accurate fleet inventory and asset records.
  • Coordinate repairs with state motor fleet facilities, vendors, and installers.
  • Coordinate procurement of vehicles and fleet equipment per state statutes and agency policies.
  • Coordinate installation of emergency lighting, comms equipment, and investigative technology.
  • Coordinate vehicle surplus and disposal activities.
