Job summary

Saint Francis Ministries is seeking a dedicated transportation driver to safely move children and families to appointments across the state. You will collaborate with the transport team, office staff, and case management while ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to all safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid, NARCAN training, and a valid license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• NARCAN Training.
• Prefer two years’ experience working with children and families and/or transportation.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must pass a drug screen, MVR, KBI, Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry Clearance check and an Adult Registry check.
• FBI Fingerprint check.
• Lifting requirements of 50 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and families to appointments statewide.
• Maintain communication with transport team, office staff, and case team.
• Complete Trip Requests and Medication Communication when required.
• Document actions concisely and timely (written or electronic).
• Ensure children have belongings and medications during transport.
• Follow state driving laws and Saint Francis policies.
• Use devices and apps for trip assignments, navigation, and weather.
• Assist with vehicle movement and equipment changes.
• Aim to reduce costs and deadhead miles.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance and schedule service.
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends/holidays; travel daily.
• Report incidents promptly per policy and risk management.
• Protect clients' rights.
