Job summary

Georgia Department of Education is seeking two experienced Results Driven Accountability Program Specialists. Under supervision, you'll oversee local district compliance with federal regulations and state rules, and lead statewide monitoring for special education programs.

Responsibilities include developing corrective action plans, data submissions, and staff training. Requires statewide travel, residence in Northwest Georgia RESA or North Central Georgia RESA, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education or a related field plus five years of related experience or a Bachelor’s degree plus seven years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of Specially Designed Instruction, PBIS, SST and evidence-based interventions.
• Ability to supervise and monitor special education programs and develop policies and procedures.
• Willingness to travel statewide and work in a field-based role.

Responsibilities

• Assist in continuous improvement monitoring for students with disabilities.
• Provide oversight for district review of policies, procedures and practices.
• Develop corrective action plans and ensure compliance.
• Prepare guidelines, memoranda, reports, and presentation materials.
• Conduct training and staff development for local districts.
