Job summary

State of Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services is seeking a Child Welfare Manager 1 - CQI to supervise CQI supervisors, oversee case reviews, and drive statewide quality improvement for child welfare practice. The role ensures adherence to policy, state code, federal regulations, and best practice standards.

Qualified candidates will have extensive child welfare experience and a degree in a related field.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree plus four years of experience in child welfare.
Advanced degree in a social science or behavioral health field, nursing, or a juris doctorates plus three years of experience in child welfare.
Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Provides administrative oversight and management for statewide CQI activities and supervises Child Welfare Supervisors responsible for case reviews.
Partners with regional and parish leadership to implement and revise solutions to practice challenges and strengthen practice across the state.
Provides supervision and guidance to staff and leads regular meetings with staff and stakeholders.
Manages recruitment, selection, and development of CQI staff; handles paperwork and interviews in accordance with Civil Service rules.
Performs additional duties in support of DCFS and its strategic commitments and audit/ system transformation efforts.
