Job summary

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) seeks a Statewide Asset Management Director to lead strategic investment planning for Indiana's Interstate Highway System and manage roadside assets.

You will direct a team to develop engineering specifications, policies, and procedures with statewide impact, and integrate emerging technologies such as AI-based asset identification and connected vehicle data.

Qualifications

• Valid Professional Engineer license issued by the State of Indiana.
• Five or more years of supervisory/management experience in operations or related discipline.
• Knowledge of information technology systems and applications.
• High level of analytical, planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to work across organizational boundaries and establish effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic investment planning for Indiana's Interstate Highway System.
