Job summary

State of Connecticut is seeking two full-time ASL Interpreters for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to support statewide programs. You will provide in-person and/or virtual interpretation and ensure clear communication across diverse settings.

Travel throughout Connecticut is required. A National Interpreting Certification and CT interpreter registration are required to be considered for these roles, with ADS/BRS offices coordinating assignments.

Qualifications

• Must hold National Interpreting Certification and CT interpreter registration.
• Must be able to travel as required across Connecticut.
• Proficiency in ASL interpretation and cultural responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality in-person and/or virtual interpretation across the state.
• Support diverse communities with accurate, culturally responsive communication.
• Attend staff meetings and related ADS office events.
