Job summary

The State of Washington, Office of Financial Management (OFM), is seeking a seasoned professional to lead statewide accounting initiatives. You will help modernize financial systems, collaborate with agencies, and guide major ERP/SaaS transitions from OFM and One Washington.

We value analytical rigor, strong Excel skills, and the ability to communicate complex changes clearly. This hybrid role requires travel for in-person activities and offers growth within a supportive public-service

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting state enterprise financial and administrative systems.
• Experience in Washington State government and familiarity with its enterprise systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with large data sets and gap analyses.
• Advanced Excel skills: formulas, pivot tables, sorting, filtering, and data analysis.
• Ability to create and maintain accurate documentation.
• Clear and concise communication to diverse audiences.
• Strong time-management and ability to work independently in high-volume environments.
• Willingness to learn and grow and adapt to changing processes.

Responsibilities

• Represent OFM statewide accounting as the expert for financial systems transition to ERP/SaaS.
• Participate in meetings with One Washington IT staff and finance teams.
• Provide guidance on conversions, integrations, and data for system modernization efforts.
• Assist with design, integrations, testing, and data conversions.
• Identify issues and work with leadership on solutions/change requests.
• Advise on impact to agencies and mitigation strategies.
