  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, GASB and related publications.
  • Understanding of government accounting, audit methodologies and internal controls.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex statewide assignments related to federal grants, CMIA, SWCAP and TSA.
  • Monitor federal grant compliance and ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Provide guidance and respond to inquiries with complex research and authoritative advice.
  • Develop high-level guidance, training materials and official correspondence.
  • Drive process improvements and evaluate statewide policies and workflows.
  • Monitor and follow up on audit recommendations across agencies.
