Job summary

Recover-Care Healthcare is seeking a capable STNA to provide routine nursing care in our Ohio facility. You will assist residents with hygiene, mobility, and daily activities while adhering to established policies and infection control protocols.

The role requires STNA certification and English proficiency, with a patient-centric approach and reliable teamwork. Training and a supportive work environment are provided to ensure high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must have certification as a STNA.
• Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
• Tracheostomy care, ventilator care experienced preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare residents for therapy, activities, physician visits, religious services, etc., and transport as needed.
• Answer residents' call lights promptly.
• Attend in-service programs and meetings as directed.
• Assist residents with proper hygiene and bathing, encouraging self-care when possible.
• Follow infection control procedures and isolation when necessary.
• Record required information each shift regarding STNA duties.
• Present a professional image through dress and conduct.
• Adhere to company standards for resolving consumer concerns.
• Protect resident rights at all times.

STNA - State Tested Nurse Assistant

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As an STNA, you are responsible for providing routine nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures and as may be directed by the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses or Administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Qualifications

• Must have certification as a STNA
• Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.
• Tracheostomy care, ventilator care experienced preferred.

GENERAL DUTIES

• STNA (STATE TESTED NURSE ASSISTANT) will prepare residents for therapy, activities, physician visits, religious services, etc., to include transporting residents to/from such activities.
• Answer residents' call lights promptly.
• Attend in-service educational programs, on the job training programs and meetings as directed.
• Assist residents with proper hygiene
• Bathe residents as assigned and in accordance with established facility procedures (encourage showers and other self-help measures/activities).
• Follow infection control procedures in accordance with established facility policy when isolation techniques are necessary.
• Chart required information every shift pertaining to the role of the STNA.
• Presents professional image to consumers through dress, behavior and speech.
• Adheres to Company Standards for resolving consumer concerns.
• Ensures that all consumer/resident rights are protected.
