Job summary

NurseDash is seeking an STNA in the Akron area to provide essential nursing assistance in hospitals and facilities near you. You will design a flexible schedule with no minimum shifts, balancing patient care and personal life while earning competitive pay.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, medication reminders, and supporting residents’ dignity and comfort. Training is provided, with opportunities for growth and reliable shift options tailored to your needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months of related experience or training.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs regularly and assist residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, and activities of daily living as needed.
• Follow the schedule of residents set by supervisor.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Assist dining staff and possibly help in the dining room.
• Possibly assist with resident laundry needs.

STNA Responsibilities

• Provides assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
• Follows the schedule of resident's needs set out by supervisor.
• Provides emotional and social support to residents.
• Support the dining staff and possibly assist in the dining room.
• Possibly assist with laundry needs of the Community or residents.
• Documents daily log of assistance.
• Informs supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
• Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.
• Respects residents' confidentiality.
• Is familiar with emergency equipment and procedures.
• Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of the community.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

STNA Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or General Education Degree
• One to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs regularly and able to help residents who require physical assistance
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Experience with caring for residents with memory impairment may be required if assigned to memory care areas of the community.
