Florida Department of Transportation seeks a State Safety Engineer to lead the State Safety Office crash records and research administration, transportation safety engineering and planning staff, industrial safety program, contracts, and resources. This senior role directs supervisors and coordinates across districts to advance Florida’s safety mission.

The successful candidate will hold a Professional Engineer license, oversee HSIP initiatives, and work with partners to implement statewide

Qualifications

• Knowledge of transportation systems and safety programs.
• Experience in work program development and implementation.
• Knowledge of workplace and industrial safety.

Responsabilités

• Leads crash records and research administration within the State Safety Office.
• Supervises staff and directs workload, objectives, and time utilization.
• Oversees consultants, contract and grant staff, and ensures compliance with guidelines.
• Represents the agency in national safety initiatives and coordinates across districts.
