Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Self-starter with good judgment and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily assignments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Supports the state legislative session through research and briefing materials.
  • Analyses policy issues and prepares materials for a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Back-up bill tracking during the legislative session.
  • Prepares reports and notes for committee hearings and meetings.
  • Coordinates invitation lists for campus events and outreach meetings.
  • Tracks election results and drafts official biographies for use by leadership.
