Job summary

Google LLC seeks a State Political Strategy Manager to lead state-level public affairs and policy strategy within GAPP. You will translate policy goals into campaigns and coordinate with local teams, product groups, and external allies to advance Google's policy agenda and responsible innovation.

You will work on building trust with policymakers, regulators, and opinion leaders while aligning policy objectives with Google's business strategy and user needs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience managing public affairs, corporate affairs, political, or issue advocacy campaigns at the state or national level.
• Experience in state government, campaigns, industry associations, or corporate government affairs.

Responsibilities

• Develop structured engagement plans to build long-term trust with policymakers, regulators, and opinion leaders.
• Drive programming and narratives that lead to meaningful engagement of policy audiences on matters affecting Google's business and users.
• Create the engagement strategies, vehicles, messaging, and materials that help scale Google's core reputation and policy narratives.
• Partner with local teams to build, maintain, and activate allies to support responsible innovation via earned media, direct engagement, paid media, and other tactics.
