Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a Government Affairs and Public Policy professional to join the US Federal External Affairs team in Washington, DC. You will lead day-to-day engagement with external organizations such as think tanks, civil society groups, and advocacy coalitions, shaping policy direction and external perspectives for Google.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of professional experience in public policy, government affairs, coalition management, or issue advocacy.
• Experience working directly with or within think tanks, civil society organizations, or government (Congressional or Administration staff).

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous policy dialogue and relationship management with key third-party partners including think tanks, advocacy groups, and civil society organizations.
• Act as the central connector linking Google’s internal policy leads, legal teams, product specialists, and researchers with external think tanks, fellows, and policy experts.
• Maintain close connectivity with internal stakeholders to ensure communication with external organisations aligns with internal priorities.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute policy roundtables, working groups, salon dinners, and coalition briefings.
• Partner with team leadership to support portfolio administration, including coordinating third-party grant agreements, budget tracking, PO workflows, and operational tracking.
