Job summary

La Petite Academy in North Charleston, SC is hiring a Lead Pre-K Teacher to plan, assess, and instruct based on each child's needs and program standards. You will help prepare children for Kindergarten and beyond while fostering curiosity and kindness in a supportive classroom.

You will mentor fellow teachers, manage the classroom, build relationships with families, and ensure compliance with licensing and center policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Family Studies or related degree.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• The ability to meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements.
• The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• The State Pre-K Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing based on the needs of each child, and the requirements of the program.
• Lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation, plus be an expert on all licensing guidelines, company standards and Pre-K program requirements.
• Communicate with enrolled and prospective families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center's success.
