The State of Nebraska's Health & Human Services agency seeks an Opioid Response Program Coordinator to oversee day-to-day coordination of the State Opioid Response grant. You will liaise with state, federal agencies and local partners to implement evidence-based programs and manage contracts.

Responsibilities include training, policy coordination, reporting, and ensuring compliance with guidelines. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required; a Master's is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience for entry-level criteria.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced responsibilities.
• Experience with grant writing, contract management or leading community groups is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for State Opioid Response grant.
• Provide training on overdose recognition and Naloxone use.
• Collaborate with agencies, providers and stakeholders to align activities.

Related coursework, training, and/or education may substitute for the Bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basisPreferred Qualifications: Master's degree in social work, Public Health, Public Administration, or related human services field. Experience working with behavioral health and/or community-based organizations. Enthusiasm for working with diverse stakeholders and constituents (coalition and community members). Experience in data collection, resource mapping, focus groups, surveys, and key stakeholder interviews. Experience using data to evaluate, monitor and inform program implementation.Other: A valid Driver's License is required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities.Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.Knowledge of implementation science and applied research in prevention programming.Ability to identify tangible and intangible community assets and resources.Knowledge of outcomes-based prevention strategies.Knowledge of best practices in prevention program capacity-building and sustainability.Ability to support community-based organizations in building capacity.Ability to interact in a virtual environment.Effective computer skills.
