Job summary

The State of Nebraska's Health & Human Services agency seeks an Opioid Response Program Coordinator to oversee day-to-day coordination of the State Opioid Response grant. You will liaise with state, federal agencies and local partners to implement evidence-based programs and manage contracts.

Responsibilities include training, policy coordination, reporting, and ensuring compliance with guidelines. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required; a Master's is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience for entry-level criteria.
  • Master’s degree preferred for advanced responsibilities.
  • Experience with grant writing, contract management or leading community groups is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for State Opioid Response grant.
  • Provide training on overdose recognition and Naloxone use.
  • Collaborate with agencies, providers and stakeholders to align activities.
  • Coordinate regular meetings and provide briefing materials.
  • Offer technical assistance to partners and support grant initiatives.
  • Manage related contracts and sub-contracts in compliance with guidelines.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, social/behavioral sciences, health sciences, public health, education, law or related field
Master’s degree in social work, Public Health, Public Administration, or related human services field
