• Directs the technical and administrative activities of the State Mining Program.
• Issues permits and recommendations for denial, appropriate compliance/enforcement actions.
• Provides expert guidance in mining-related issues to division employees, other agencies and the public.
• Serves as staff member to the Mining Commission.
