Job summary

EisnerAmper is seeking a Partner for our State & Local Tax team in New York. You will lead multistate consulting and compliance, address residency and nexus issues, and contribute to thought leadership and technology initiatives while mentoring staff.

You will influence strategy, manage complex tax matters, and collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver innovative tax solutions and growth opportunities for the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent field.
• CPA, EA, or JD credential.
• 15+ years of experience in state taxation.
• 7+ years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Multistate consulting and compliance services, including technical review of state and local tax returns and nexus analysis.
• Residency issues and state tax consulting, including taxability studies.
• Audit defense, research and writing, and due diligence.
• Coordinating with in-house tax professionals and clients; reviewing pass-through entity issues and investor packages.
• Researching state tax legislation and its impact on clients; supporting tax planning projects.
