Cherry Bekaert’s State & Local Tax team in Coral Gables, FL is hiring a Sales & Local Tax Staff to support tax professionals with data entry in Excel, client records, data organization, and forms management.

The role involves gathering, manipulating, and analyzing data, researching state tax statutes, and verifying work for accuracy while interacting with clients via meetings and calls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
• Ability to work overtime during peak seasons.

• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with tax professionals on data entry in Excel, copy client records, organize data files, complete forms, and manage correspondence with State tax agencies.
• Gather, manipulate, and analyze data.
• Participate in research of state tax statutes, regulations, and rulings.
• Thoroughly verify work for completeness and accuracy.
• Interact with clients via on-site meetings, video calls, and project status reports.
