Cherry Bekaert LLP in Florida is seeking a Sales & Local Tax Staff to support data entry, data manipulation and client-related administrative tasks within our State & Local Tax team.

You will gather, analyze data, research state tax statutes, verify work for accuracy, and interact with clients via on-site meetings or video calls as part of a deadline-driven, service-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting
• Ability to work overtime during peak seasons
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Passion for providing the highest level of service to clients
• Superior multi-tasking and organizational skills
• High attention to detail
• Stellar interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
• Proficiency with Word and PowerPoint
• Access experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Data entry in Excel, copying client records, organizing data files, completing forms, sending and managing receipt of correspondence with State tax agencies
• Gather, manipulate, and analyze data
• Participate in research of state tax statutes, regulations, and rulings
• Thoroughly verify work for completeness and accuracy
• Interact with clients via on-site meetings, video calls, and project status reports
