Job summary

National Association of REALTORS® is seeking an Advocacy State & Local Resources Coordinator to strengthen the organization’s ability to support state and local REALTOR associations by developing accessible advocacy resources, policy information, and program tools. This role serves as a central hub for coordinating information and responding to inquiries.

You will coordinate with internal subject matter experts, manage inquiries, track emerging issues, and support the State and Local Policy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
  • Experience with advocacy programs, public policy initiatives, associations, or nonprofit organizations preferred.
  • Experience coordinating projects, managing information resources, or supporting committees or stakeholder groups.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Position Summary

The Advocacy State & Local Resources Coordinator strengthens the organization’s ability to serve and support state and local REALTOR associations by developing and maintaining a clear, reliable, and accessible system for advocacy resources, policy information, and program tools.

This role serves as a central hub for coordinating information, responding to inquiries, and supporting advocacy-related programs that help associations navigate policy issues and implement effective advocacy strategies. The Coordinator helps ensure that state and local associations have access to timely information, practical resources, and coordinated support that leads to successful advocacy outcomes for members and the real estate market.

This position plays a key role in improving responsiveness, organizing institutional knowledge, and supporting collaboration across advocacy teams.

Duties and Responsibilities
Resource Development & Management
  • Develop and maintain systems for collecting, organizing, and maintaining state and local advocacy resources.
  • Work with manager to complex policy materials and institutional knowledge into user‑friendly tools, templates, and guidance for associations.
  • Ensure advocacy resources remain current, accessible, and aligned with organizational priorities.
Information Coordination & Inquiry Support
  • Manage and respond to requests from state and local associations regarding policy, advocacy programs, and related resources.
  • Coordinate with internal subject matter experts to provide timely and accurate information.
  • Track trends in requests and identify recurring needs or emerging issues.
Issue Tracking & Communication
  • Monitor and track emerging state and local policy issues and advocacy trends.
  • Help identify opportunities to proactively share information, tools, and strategies with associations.
  • Support internal planning by providing insights based on inquiry trends and emerging policy developments.
Committee & Program Support
  • Support the operations of the State and Local Policy Committee, work groups, and peer networks related to state and local advocacy.
  • Prepare agendas, meeting materials, logistics, and follow‑up documentation.
  • Ensure forums and collaborative groups operate effectively and deliver value to participants.
Forum & Meeting Coordination
  • Coordinate with other team members to plan and execute State & Local Forum meetings and other association convenings.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics, materials, communications, and post‑meeting follow‑up.
Program & Project Support
  • Assist with other state and local programs, initiatives, and political activities as needed.
  • Take on additional projects that support the organization’s advocacy strategy and engagement with associations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in public policy, political science, public administration, communications, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Experience working with advocacy programs, public policy initiatives, associations, or nonprofit organizations preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating projects, managing information resources, or supporting committees or stakeholder groups.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience working with cross‑functional teams and coordinating with subject matter experts.

Compensation

$60,000-$70,000 depending on office location.
