Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Spring & Summer 2027 Business Development & Growth Co-op to support the State and Local Growth team in California. The role offers a 40-hour‑week hybrid schedule in San Diego, with some travel to conferences.

You will help identify opportunities, conduct market research, prepare pre‑RFP materials, contribute to white papers, and turn findings into presentations that position Peraton for growth in state and local government contracting.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship
• HS Diploma and some advanced level training
• You are a current undergrad or graduate student and have completed progress or are pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Public Policy, Political Science, or a related field
• Experience with research, writing, or analysis projects for a class, club, or organization
• Strong writing skills and proficiency with PowerPoint or Google Slides
• Coursework or project experience in market research, competitive analysis, or industry benchmarking
• Interest in government contracting, public‑sector business development, or state and local government
• Experience contributing to proposals, white papers, or similar written deliverables
• Event planning or conference coordination experience
• Location: San Diego, CA

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new opportunities across state and local government.
• Support competitive analysis and market research.
• Help prepare materials for pre-RFP engagements.
• Contribute to white papers and thought leadership content.
• Assist with planning and attendance at State and Local industry conferences.
• Turn research and findings into presentations and briefings that inform how Peraton positions itself for growth across the state.
