Job summary

Peregrine Technologies is seeking an expert in state and local government contracts to support sales and business development. You will draft, review, analyze, and negotiate all sales contracts, guiding procurement and pricing decisions while mitigating risk.

You’ll work with legal, finance, and operations to move deals forward in a fast-paced, autonomous environment. You are a skilled negotiator with deep knowledge of US government contracting processes and direct contracting vehicles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years contracting in enterprise software/SaaS, state & local governments preferred.
• Experience with contract lifecycle management systems and Salesforce.
• Ability and comfort in negotiating and closing legal agreements with customers.
• Experience utilizing direct contracting mechanisms and 3rd party contracting vehicles like Cooperative Purchasing Agreements.
• Familiarity with solution-based selling and cross-team collaboration.
• Excellent executive-level written communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
• Located in New York City and able to come into the office 4 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, analyze, and negotiate all sales contracts.
• Map tradeoffs within contracts to Peregrine's business goals.
• Guide the procurement process (fiscal, legal, etc.) and support sales with compliance, pricing, and delivery requirements.
• Deliver contracts to customers quickly, with a customer-first approach and creative procurement solutions.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, sales, and operations in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.
