Job summary

Best Buddies International is seeking a State Director in Las Vegas to lead statewide program operations, secure funding, and supervise staff across the state. The role requires strong fundraising, leadership, and program management skills to advance Best Buddies' inclusive mission for individuals with IDD.

The State Director will oversee budgeting, volunteers, and advisory boards while coordinating with HQ Programs Team to ensure program excellence and donor stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or at least 4 years’ relevant experience.
• 4–7 years progressive fundraising experience.
• 3–5 years management/supervisory experience.
• Superior persuasive writing and presentation skills; ability to articulate mission and goals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with online databases.

Responsibilities

• Oversees statewide program operations by coordinating with local programs and HQ Programs Team.
• Plans and implements statewide program events and volunteer training initiatives.
• Secures funding and leads all statewide fundraising activities, including major gifts and donor relations.
• Directs recruitment, development and retention of staff; oversees Advisory Boards and committees.
• Develops statewide fundraising strategy and ensures program goals align with funders’ expectations.
• Manages operations including budget oversight, revenue tracking, and reporting to funders.
