Job summary

Best Buddies International seeks a Senior Director for Best Buddies Life to lead national implementation, operations, and growth of the program, creating pathways to learning, employment, independent living, and community engagement for individuals with IDD.

The role oversees day-to-day operations, participant experience, partnerships, assessments, credentialing initiatives, and staff supervision, ensuring excellence across sites.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Special Education, Disability Studies, Social Work, Nonprofit Leadership, Public Administration, Education, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience in disability services, workforce development, higher education, transition programming, nonprofit management, or related fields.
• Experience managing multi-site programs and leading inclusive education, employment, and independent living initiatives for individuals with IDD.

Responsibilities

• Lead nationwide Best Buddies Life programming and ensure consistent quality.
• Develop operational plans, goals, and performance metrics.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, retention, and participant success.
• Partner with state/local staff to support expansion and engagement.
• Develop workforce readiness, credentialing, and employment supports.
• Oversee budget, contracts, and grant reporting.
