Job summary

The Iowa Department of Education is seeking a Data Analyst 2 to join the Data, Reporting, and Program Support Team in Des Moines. You will maintain and improve data systems supporting Iowa students, schools, and child care providers, translating data into actionable insights for program decisions.

Responsibilities include data management, reporting, system administration, and coordinating system enhancements.

Qualifications

• Six years of analytics/data experience or equivalent education paths as outlined in the minimum requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in business analytics, economics, data science, statistics, mathematics, MIS, or industrial management with related experience.
• Experience with data analytics, reporting, and SQL/SQL Server is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather, organize, and analyze data from databases and other sources.
• Develop reports, visualizations, and summaries to communicate findings.
• Identify KPIs and monitor performance aligned with goals.
• Support data-driven decision-making through reporting and analysis.
• Coordinate system enhancements and ensure production readiness.
