Job summary

State of Florida is seeking a Government Operations Consultant II in the Contracts Unit of the Florida Department of Health, Division of Disease Control and Health Protection. The role focuses on reviewing and routing contracts, managing documents, and developing procedures and training materials for contract oversight.

This in-office, full-time position requires coordinating contract actions, maintaining folders, and ensuring timely communication with program staff and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic management principles and practices to serve as the contract manager for state health office contracts.
• Ability to coordinate a consultative program to resolve managerial and operational problems.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with healthcare agencies and community organizations.

Responsibilities

• Review and route contracts and track contract documents.
• Maintain the Master Procurement Document and contract tracking system.
• Prepare procedures and training materials for contract oversight.
• Forward final executed documents with original signatures for filing and distribution.
• Develop training materials and communicate policy, process and technical information for contract managers.
• Send monthly reminders to Contract Managers about programmatic monitoring and ensure reports are routed properly.
