Job summary

UCLA seeks an experienced Ethics and Compliance Professional to guide the State Authorizations Office. You will oversee programs ensuring compliance with state and foreign regulations for distance education and physical presence, while coordinating with campus stakeholders.

The role requires strong communication, training design, and conflict mediation skills to support cross-campus collaboration and regulatory excellence.

Qualifications

• Five years experience working in state authorizations field, higher education regulatory compliance, professional licensure background or equivalent.
• Administrative experience, overseeing operations in a Higher Education environment.
• Broad knowledge and experience with regulations and laws addressing state authorization rules governing postsecondary distance education and physical presence across US jurisdictions.
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills at a high management level. Ability to design and carry out a multifaceted communications program.
• Ability to effectively conduct training and education programs workshops and other presentations for small and large groups.
• Ability to effectively mediate conflict and communicate across constituencies while demonstrating empathy and understanding.
• Ability to manage stakeholders who have strong disagreements in policy procedure and structure.
