The Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General is seeking a full-time Assistant Attorney General for the Legal Counsel Unit, located in Oklahoma City. The role provides legal advice and representation to state agencies, boards and commissions, including appearances in state and appellate courts and agency hearings.

The candidate must be a licensed Oklahoma attorney with at least three years of professional experience in law, including criminal or administrative proceedings.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney in the State of Oklahoma with at least 3 years of professional experience in the practice of law.
• Experience in criminal law, litigation, or administrative disciplinary proceedings preferred.
• Strong writing and oral advocacy skills are required.
• Background investigation to be completed successfully.

Responsabilités

• Provide legal advice and representation to state agencies, boards and commissions.
• Appear in state and appellate courts and at adjudicative hearings.
• Research, prepare, analyze and understand complex information for legal matters.
• Engage in administrative proceedings and provide guidance on compliance with statutes and rules.
