Job summary

Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General is seeking a full-time Assistant Attorney General for the Legal Counsel Unit in Oklahoma City. The role focuses on providing legal advice and representation to state agencies, boards, and commissions on a daily basis, including administrative litigation and appellate matters.

The ideal candidate is a licensed Oklahoma attorney with at least 3 years of practice, strong writing and advocacy skills, and familiarity with state ethics, contracting, and labor

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney in the State of Oklahoma.
• Minimum 3 years of professional legal experience including criminal, litigation, or administrative disciplinary proceedings.
• Strong writing and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise state agencies, boards, and commissions on legal matters.
• Represent agencies in administrative proceedings, employment proceedings, and some civil and appellate litigation.
• Appear in state and appellate courts and administrative hearings.
