The Michigan Department of Treasury seeks an experienced and strategic leader to serve as the Assistant Administrator for the Banking, Disbursements, and Reconciliation area within the Financial Services Division (FSD).
In this key leadership role, you will oversee the State of Michigan’s banking relationships and provide direction for Treasury’s disbursement activities and statewide cash and check reconciliation. You will lead two critical operational areas: the Banking and Disbursements Section and the Support Services Section.

You will collaborate closely with the Division Administrator to advance both short- and long-term goals, helping to shape division strategy and ensure efficient, secure, and high-quality financial services for the State of Michigan.
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level. Education level typically acquired through completion of high school and two years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 14 level; or, one year of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 15 level, may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.
All work must be performed in the state of Michigan. To perform the duties and responsibilities of this position, all work must be performed in Michigan. If you currently reside outside of Michigan, you must commute to Michigan to perform the responsibilities and duties of this position at your assigned official work location.
Hybrid Remote Work. To perform the duties and responsibilities of this position, all work must be performed in Michigan. If you are a State of Michigan resident, this position is eligible to work remotely three days per week (Monday, Thursday, and Friday) and is required to work on-site at the assigned official workstation two days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday). Additionally, the selected candidate must have a secure, safe and appropriate designated workspace that allows privacy and prevents distractions while performing the duties of this position, as well as secure and sufficient internet access of commercial cable or wireless broadband with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload. Additional onsite work may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to management approval and may be adjusted or discontinued at any time. Please note that remote work is not available if you reside outside of the State of Michigan.
