State-of-Delawar in Dover, Delaware oversees statewide accounting and internal control engagements. The role involves planning and analyzing financial reports for compliance with GAAP and state regulations, supervising staff, and providing financial guidance to agencies.
The incumbent works with other state agencies to deliver recommendations and support financial management, including vendor interactions with engaged CPA firms and guidance on internal controls.
This position reports to the Deputy Director ofFinancial Reporting and manages Statewide accounting and internal controlassistance engagements at the state level. The major work is oversight, whichinvolves planning and analyzing financial reports for engagements and ensuringcompliance with GAAP and state regulations. This role includes thesupervision/training of staff, reviewing staff work for completion, andreporting of accounting and internal control engagements This position willwork with other state agencies to achieve goals and will analyze data toprovide recommendations and financial advice to financial management. Otherduties include providing vendor assistance to engaged CPA firms and internalcontrol guidance to State agencies.
